My career in the financial industry began in 2001 although my purpose was not envisioned until after a year of meeting with families, individuals and business owners. I quickly noticed that the majority of middle America have been overlooked by the financial industry. Some people understood some basic financial knowledge but most were being sold products and services that they did not understand.
With an underserved market and a lack of education regarding taxes, insurance and investments I wanted to make a difference. Not just a one time change but a multigenerational impact. My previous firm provided an opportunity to flourish in knowledge of understanding in concepts to help clients build and protect their wealth. At this time the market had declined more than 30% and some investors suffered more than 50% loss 7 years later in 2008. My purpose became more clear for investors to have a defensive investment strategy that was not being delivered to most Americans. It was reserved for the most affluent families at that time. I have aligned my firm with some of the finest investment managers that have both offensive and defensive aspects of strategies. I have also partnered with many of the strongest most cost competitive life insurance companies in the industry.
People of all generations have their financial hurdles, however the baby boomers(born 1946-1964) face the greatest of challenges. Rising medical costs, social security concerns and the fear of outliving their assets all weigh heavy on the backs of Americans. As a father of 3 children and a faithful husband for almost 2 decades, I know the value of proper planning. Someone's sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago. I believe in a plan, implement and monitor type of philosophy. Devising wealth management and safeguarding risk is paramount to ensure a happy and successful life.
